Multiple licensed investigators and open records requests were utilized to verify and collect facts published on this page. Two audio recordings provide the basis of some this page, however, to protect the privacy of these people, these audio recordings will not be published to this page. TEA and all mentioned parties on this page have received these audio recordings so there are no surprises, with the exception of L.R. Several local law enforcement and state enforcement agencies have received these audio recordings also and investigations are ongoing.

The following records were obtained from the Ft Worth police department. As of September 2019, this investigation was reopened with the Domestic Violence Unit and a new detective was assigned. This detective spent many hours trying to get R.R. to speak with her and R.R. continues to “ghost” the Ft Worth police department and protect Gilbert Fuentez.
She and Gilbert Fuentez both lied to the Ft Worth police department, when they arrived to this bloody crime scene on May 26th, 2018, that neither of them knew how her injuries took place. However, in 2 separate audio recordings, taken on May 7th, 2019, one with R.R. and a second one with Gilbert Fuentez, both admit in consistent, identical recountings how G.F. assaulted her the night of May 25th, 2018.
Those audio recordings have been given to Ft Worth police when reopening this investigation. Ft Worth police have offered assurances of immunity to R.R. that they will not go after her for a) having her cousin slash his tires on May 7th, 2019, b) for severe vandalism to Gilbert Fuentez’ truck when she keyed it in mid-July 2019, c) for lying to the police about how this assault happened, d) for Gilbert’s accusation that she assaulted him also, e) for her stealing drugs from her job as a nurse to give to Gilbert and any other actions she has committed that could find her in legal trouble.
In trying to avoid this domestic violence investigation, she has moved jobs, moved to a different city, changed her phone number and refuses to communicate with Ft Worth police. She has also actively participated in this TEA investigation to support Gilbert Fuentez with her own statement in late 2019, which has been assessed as dramatic and without credibility.
She has posted on social media that she has taken traveling nursing jobs, some of which appear to be located in Houston and other TX cities, and she resides part-time at his apartment in Austin since becoming either engaged or married.
PRIVACY WARNING: The following public police reports, pictures or documentation provided on this site are not intended to be used for harassment or risk to the safety of either Gilbert Fuentez, R.R. or any of the people found in any of these records.
GRAPHIC WARNING: these bloody crime scene photos are heart-wrenching and horrifying to look at. View with caution.
Gilbert Fuentez admits to police he had no injuries on May 26th, 2018 and they note no other injuries to Gilbert Fuentez except for the defense scratch wounds on his the top of his right hand and inside of left arm caused by R.R. However, he has a photo on his phone of his eye, allegedly taken a few days later, that he claims his eye suddenly puffed up a few days later, that he claims was caused by R.R. punching him in the eye that same night.
The eye picture appears to show an eye swollen consistent with an ALLERGIC reaction and not from an TRAUMA or ASSAULT injury. It is this photo that he uses to justify his own version of events that he claims R.R. is just as guilty of assault as he was….and therefore she should face assault claims also. It is through this fear and coercion that he manipulates R.R. into not speaking with Ft Worth police about this assault for fear of her own legal protection. Ft Worth police provides Gilbert Fuentez’ side of the story no credibility and the overwhelming evidence does NOT support his version of events.
Given the well-documented pattern of him lying and twisting versions of events to suit his own needs when he finds himself in trouble, it is no surprise that he attempted to throw R.R. under the bus to save himself; to victimize the victim yet again by blaming her for inciting the violence she had to endure.
He continues to keep her happy and complacent so she will NOT go to the police where he will face criminal charges. That….and the financial assistance she is providing him in helping paying his bills, and her being an avenue to him gaining access to drugs (more on this on the R.R. page)……are the 3 reasons why he continues to pretend he loves her and wants to be with her, to feed into her desire to be loved by him, even after he has callously and coldly admitted to multiple women that he does not love her and how he does not want to be with her.
She has been beaten, lied to, cheated on with multiple women and continuously used and he has admitted multiple times, including on audio recording, that he does not care if he manipulates and lies to her. He has told 3 of these 5 women he does not care about R.R., he is done with her and she means nothing to him, so that they will continue to remain romantically involved with him once they discover Gilbert is cheating on those women also. He shows no remorse for his actions, although he is excellent at pretending to.
It is clear that this woman suffered a horrific assault and was victimized. She attempted to defend herself and Gilbert Fuentez suffered defense wounds as a result.
He has given 4 changing stories as to how the assault occurred. 1) His own confession on audio recording states that he grabbed her by the hair of her head and slammed her into the doorway of the breezeway. This evidence is supported by the police investigation, including forensic evidence on the Converse shoe footprints, bloody handprints on the door and bloody handprints on the ground showing signs of a struggle. 2) Later, he changed his story to say she slipped and fell, but 3 separate areas of severe lacerations to her head and a swollen face with distended black eye does not indicate a singular fall into the doorway and there are no lacerations to her eyelids or socket, indicating blunt force trauma, like from a fist, caused the black eye. 3) Later, again, he changes his story a 3rd time to say she punched him in the face also. 4) And, originally, he tells Ft Worth police he has no idea how she came to be injured.
He only consented to have officers enter his apartment once they began the search warrant process because he was terrified that, with a warrant, the police would discover his stockpile of cocaine, much as he thought would happen again the night of May 7th, 2019.
On May 7th, 2019, he flushed dozens of 1″ bags of cocaine down the toilet after calling the police when R.R.’s cousin came and slashed his tires. On this May 7th, 2019 audio recording, he identifies R.R.’s cousin as his drug connection and was more upset at losing a drug connection than having broken R.R.’s heart. He will do and say anything to a woman to keep drugs and any free money he can get from them flowing. He is extremely charming and handsome and has the ability to disarm a woman’s defenses immediately by appearing to be innocent, playful, fun and child-like.
Her own confession, on audio recording on May 7th, 2019, about the May 26th, 2018 assault, states that he “beat her ass” and proceeded to show the co-worker pictures of these injuries from that night, before police came, that she had on her phone. On this same audio recording, the co-worker and R.R. both admit to having experienced his explosive temper. Later, V.L. would also provide a substantiating 3rd voice with her experiences of dealing with his anger and outbursts.
Both Gilbert Fuentez and R.R. admit the precipitating event leading up the assault was that R.R. caught him red-handed in texting his other girlfriend L.R. and she confronted him about who this woman was that he was texting. It is mostly likely, following his pattern, that he denied to R.R. any sort of relationship with L.R. or downplayed L.R. as some stalking, lying psycho, as is his m.o. when he is busted for cheating. Rest assured, he has been sighted and documented multiple times as being continuously involved with L.R. each time he goes home to Odessa and has not ceased a romantic relationship with L.R. as of February 2020.
The timeline of the assault that Gilbert provided, to the co-worker and to the police, does not add up to the evidence obtained. He states on audio recording that the assault happened in the late evening hours of May 25th, 2018, but 9-1-1 call records from his Odessa girlfriend L.R. indicate something really bad may have happened several hours before this.
Whatever Gilbert said to L.R. that gave her concern, and why she checked police departments and hospitals, until eventually calling in a welfare check, may have been the same concern that R.R. voiced on the audio recording on May 7th, 2019 whereby she stated that Gilbert freaked out about the assault, put his .45 caliber gun to his head and threatened suicide at going to jail. L.R.’s last resort was to call in a welfare check on him at his home address in Ft Worth because she was afraid for his life.
L.R. is unaware of the truth of what happened about the assault and what police officers discovered at his home. Gilbert mostly likely, following his pattern, has outright lied to her and denied that anything happened and/or lied about the facts of this situation to advantage himself.
It also appears that L.R. was unaware of Gilbert having R.R. as another girlfriend in Ft Worth, which is motive for Gilbert Fuentez to hide this event from L.R. L.R. has recently become aware of R.R. and Gilbert Fuentez’ relationship, via social media posts, however, L.R. is most likely unaware of the connection that R.R. is the same person in those social media posts wearing a wedding band and this incident that was the precipitating event that led L.R. to call the Ft Worth police department out of urgent concern for his well-being.
