UPDATE April 2024: Within the last 2 months of this update, Mr Fuentez has continued his relationship with L.R. and spent time visiting her on his recent trip to Odessa.
Public records indicate that Mr Fuentez may possibly be using a different last name as of February 2024. Records indicate that Mr Fuentez may be going by his maternal last name of Almodova instead.
Once these public records are received from that agency, we will redact and publish them to this site.

UPDATE December 12th and 13th, 2022: Mr Fuentez continues to maintain a relationship with L.R. She was visited by him on his holiday trip home to Odessa on December 13th, 2022. He also traveled on December 11th and 12th to another metro area to visit another woman prior to his trip home to Odessa.
UPDATE May 15th, 2022: It appears that Mr Fuentez is still actively involved in a relationship with L.R. He spent time with her during his belated Mother’s Day trip home to Odessa on the 14th and 15th of May, 2022. Investigations by the Texas licensing agency for L.R.’s occupation and certain law enforcement agencies are still ongoing. Information relevant to those agencies’ investigations has been provided to them and will not published until those investigations are complete.
UPDATE December 25th, 2021: Mr Fuentez is still involved in an active relationship with L.R. and visited her for several hours on his Christmas trip home to Odessa to see his family two days in a row. He is still actively engaged in a relationship with R.R. as well, as they just spent an out-of-state vacation together for her birthday 10 days ago. Both women are aware of each other’s relationship, however it remains to be seen if Mr Fuentez has communicated honestly to either of these women about his ongoing relationship with T.W. and another woman who lives nearby his new residence in the north Austin area.
UPDATE May 16th, 2021: Mr Fuentez is still involved in an active relationship with L.R. He spent most of the weekend of May 15th and 16th, 2021 with L.R. at her home in Odessa when he returned home for a brief trip and was sighted at her home both days before he returned home to Austin the night of May 16th. No other additional information collected by private investigators this weekend will be published to this story.
UPDATE July 21st, 2020: Gilbert Fuentez is still involved in a relationship with L.R. as of July 19th, 2020.
Gilbert Fuentez spent much of his recent trip to Odessa with L.R from July 17th, 2020 through July 19th, 2020. He did not report to his job the morning of July 17th, 2020 and was not sighted at his residence at approximately 6pm. Investigators considered the possibility that he may have gone out of town and connected with investigators in other cities.
After checking known addresses, investigators located him in Odessa, TX at approximately 7pm, parked nearby his hotel. Investigators returned at approximately 940pm and discovered that his vehicle was no longer parked at the hotel.
Other known Odessa addresses were checked, including his mother’s home address and the address where L.R. lives and his truck was sighted at L.R.’s residence, inside the residence gate nearby an awning at approximately 1005pm.
Investigators returned at 634am on July 18th, 2020 and his vehicle was parked in the same spot and had not been moved all night.
Investigators returned 5 more times throughout the day on July 18th, 2020 and his vehicle remained in the same spot throughout the day at 1105am, 227pm and again at 411pm.
However, at approximately, 630pm, his vehicle was no longer parked at L.R.’s residence.
Earlier in the day, investigators noted that L.R.’s black SUV left the residence at one point during the day, but were unable to confirm if Gilbert Fuentez was located in the vehicle with her. Given her very young child still in diapers which may have been in the vehicle, investigators decided not to conduct surveillance on the vehicle. For this same reason, no photos will be made public that show their faces.
Investigators returned at 1045pm and his vehicle was parked back again at L.R.’s residence, a short distance away from where it was parked earlier.
Investigators returned again at 417am and 920am on July 19th, 2020 and his vehicle remained in the same spot and had not been moved overnight. However, when investigators returned again at 11am, his vehicle was no longer at L.R.’s residence.
Investigators checked known addresses and his vehicle was located again parked nearby his hotel again at 1135am.
While sighting the vehicle at the hotel, Gilbert Fuentez exited the building and got into his truck. Investigators observed him driving directly to L.R.’s residence.
However, this time he did not park on site at the residence and instead picked up L.R. and immediately left.
Shortly after, investigators observed that they entered the premises at a nearby taco restaurant at approximately 1230pm.
L.R. was wearing dark colored clothing, a black face mask that obscured most of her face, sunglasses, a black hat and her hair pulled back. Gilbert Fuentez was also wearing a black face mask.
Investigators decided to enter the taco restaurant to get a confirmed identity that this was L.R.
Investigators confirmed L.R.’s identity once she removed her face mask inside the restaurant. Additionally, she was verified for her height, (approximately 5’6”), weight (approximately 160 lbs), body composition and hair.
Investigators observed that they exited the restaurant at approximately 1pm. Gilbert Fuentez walked her to the passenger side of his vehicle, with his hand placed on the small of her back, and opened the door for her. Investigators observed body language from both individuals that confirmed romantic and intimate behavior, both inside and outside of the restaurant.
To hide their identities, they both continued to wear their face masks while driving in the vehicle.
Investigators observed shortly after that Gilbert Fuentez took L.R. to her workplace nearby, where she is an LVN at a local women’s health center and has been since approximately 2014.
However, this facility is closed on Sundays.
Investigators observed that L.R. exited the vehicle and entered the closed facility and only remained inside for a brief few minutes, before returning to the vehicle, carrying something in her hand.
It is possible, much as with the situation with R.R., that Gilbert Fuentez is expecting L.R. to procure him drugs through her job as a nurse.
Shortly after leaving L.R.’s workplace, he pulled up to her residence very briefly, dropped her off and immediately left.
He immediately got on the highway and proceeded to go east. After a short distance, investigators concluded he was returning to Austin and pulled off surveillance.
Investigators in Austin sighted his vehicle at his residence at 11pm on July 19th, 2020.
Summary report:
He spent most of the weekend at L.R.’s residence. Investigators only sighted his vehicle parked nearby his hotel for a few brief periods of time the entire weekend. Both Friday and Saturday nights his vehicle was parked over night at L.R.’s residence, confirming that he did not spend either night at his hotel.
It is confirmed that R.R. and Gilbert Fuentez are still involved in a relationship as of August 3rd, 2020. R.R. has read this update about L.R. yet continues to remain in a relationship with him.
UPDATE May 18th, 2020: Mr Fuentez is still actively involved in a relationship with L.R. as of May 11th, 2020. Private investigators in west Texas documented that he spent a few hours with her at least once during his visit home to Odessa for Mother’s Day between May 9th and May 11th, 2020.
FIRST RELEASE:
L.R. is Gilbert Fuentez’ long time girlfriend in Odessa, TX and appears to have been involved with him for at least the last several years. He seems to enjoy her company frequently and she makes him happy. She is very sweet, a good mother and is a beautiful woman; for these reasons, and other things he can use her for, it’s clear why he keeps her in his life. He has been sighted and documented multiple times visiting her home at different times, including late nights, and for multiple days over Thanksgiving Break 2019 and Christmas Break 2019.
On the night of May 25th, 2018, she was the person who was texting with Gilbert Fuentez when R.R. discovered these text messages between the two of them. Due to emergency concerns that L.R. had about his well-being, due to information she received from him that something bad may have happened, in the early morning hours of 5-26-2018, she called into Ft Worth 911 for a welfare check on him. She identified herself as his girlfriend and asked Ft Worth PD to check on him to see if he was ok.
In February 2020, through social media posts, L.R. became aware of R.R. and Gilbert Fuentez’ relationship, but she does not know about any of the other women besides R.R.. (Please read R.R. page for more info on what happens next on the assault)
L.R. has many other family members and acquaintances, both male and female, who live near Austin and appear to be connected to and interacting with Gilbert Fuentez in certain ways of interest to law enforcement. However, information regarding this is on-going and will not be published.
There seems to be no indication that L.R. and Gilbert Fuentez have ended their relationship, but if that changes, this page will be updated.
