The following text messages occurred between the co-worker and Gilbert Fuentez on April 16th, 2019 when he was at the workman’s comp clinic after injuring his hand while breaking up a student fight. The co-worker was made to delete all of these shortly after and, later on at the end of the day, when Gilbert Fuentez was allowed to leave Dr Curtis Amos’ office and he went to UEA, and again at his apartment later on that evening, the co-worker’s phone was taken from her and made to delete all evidence because Dr Curtis Amos pointed the finger at the co-worker as the source of a cocaine tip to Everman ISD and she instantly became a target to cover up anything she knew or had. May 6th, 2019, the co-worker downloads an app that can forensically retrieve anything deleted from an Android device and was able to retrieve these messages, but Everman ISD had already given him a Settlement Agreement.
During these messages on April 16th, 2019, he admits to having cocaine and marijuana in his system at the time. Prior conversations between co-worker and Gilbert Fuentez shortly before this incident established that he used cocaine on a regular, daily basis and an audio recording from May 7th, 2019 established that he had been using cocaine daily since his college years; or for about 17 years. May 7th, 2019, the co-worker would also see him pull out an entire heaping handful of 1″ baggies of cocaine from a drawer in his apartment and flush them down the toilet while awaiting police to arrive at his apartment after R.R.’s cousin came and slashed his tires and he called the police to report it. Also, on this audio recording, he admits that R.R.’s cousin is the one who supplies him with the drugs.
The comment he makes about “having an idea” was determined later on that evening at his apartment that he admitted to substituting a urine sample that was not his own, and admitted that he was supplied this urine sample by R.R. who lives nearby and she escorted him to the clinic and back again, and he failed this 1st drug test as “inconclusive for temperature” and refused a 2nd drug test, even after drinking 40 oz of water and waiting 2 more hours.
Later audio recordings on June 6th, 2019 and June 19th, 2019 also have him admitting to using drugs as well.
While, in the past, he has been successfully been able to temporarily clear his system of any drugs to pass initial or follow up drug tests, random drug testing is what caught him with drugs in his system.
